I was looking for a hotel near Seomyeon and booked Avani Central Busan mostly because it looked clean and convenient. I honestly didn’t expect much, but the room was more spacious and comfortable than I thought it would be.
I stayed in a Deluxe King Room on a Friday night, and this is the kind of hotel I would recommend if you want something clean, polished, and easy to move around from without staying right on the beach.

Location and Check-In
Avani Central Busan is a 4-star hotel close to Seomyeon, but the nearest subway stop is actually BIFC / Busan Bank Station on Line 2. From there, it is about a 3-minute walk. Jeonpo Station is also nearby, about 5 minutes on foot.
That location worked well for me because it felt central without being right in the loudest part of Seomyeon. If you are planning to move around Busan by subway, it is convenient. If you are mainly dreaming of ocean views and walking to the beach, I would choose a hotel in Haeundae or Gwangalli instead.
We visited by car, and parking was easier than I expected. The garage was spacious, and there were enough spots when we arrived, so we didn’t have to circle around or ask staff where to go.
For a city hotel, that alone makes the stay much less annoying. Busan driving already takes enough energy.
Check-in officially starts at 3pm, but we arrived about an hour early and the staff let us check in early. Since it was a Friday stay, that felt extra lucky. I wouldn’t count on early check-in every time, but it was a very nice start to the stay.
They also offer luggage storage in the lobby area, right near the front desk. If your room is not ready yet, it looks like an easy place to leave your bags before heading back out.
One thing I noticed while waiting around the lobby: a lot of the guests were foreigners. Maybe half of the people I saw were not Korean, which makes sense because Busan has been getting more popular with overseas travelers lately.
Deluxe King Room
I booked the Avani Deluxe King Room. For my Friday night stay, the price was in the 170,000 won range. Hotel prices in Busan move around a lot by date, so I would not treat that as a fixed rate, but it gives you a rough idea of what I paid.
The first impression was simple: the room was bigger than I thought it would be. Not huge, but definitely comfortable for two people and much roomier than some city hotels in this price range.
The king bed was wide, and the mattress was on the firm side in a way I liked. Not rock-hard, just supportive. I slept comfortably and didn’t wake up feeling like the bed had swallowed my back.
There was a TV and a chair in front of the bed, but the room didn’t feel crowded with unnecessary furniture. I liked that it was clean and simple rather than overly decorated.
This is one of those rooms where the best part is that nothing feels annoying. No strange layout, no random furniture blocking the walking path, no visual clutter.
There was also enough space to put luggage down properly. That sounds basic, but a lot of hotel rooms somehow make you choose between opening your suitcase and walking around the bed.
The room was very clean too. I am not usually the type to inspect every corner, but it looked well kept, and I didn’t notice dust or anything that made me uncomfortable.
The room had a small fridge, an electric kettle, and two 500ml bottles of water. Nothing fancy, but enough for a short stay.
I always appreciate having the basics already there, especially when I get back to the room late and don’t want to go downstairs just for water.
My favorite small detail was the full-length mirror near the entrance. It feels like fewer hotels have a proper one these days, and I always miss it when it is not there.
For getting ready before going out in Busan, this was genuinely useful. Tiny thing, big difference.
Bathroom
The bathroom was also very clean. The glass did not have visible water stains, and the shower area felt well maintained.
Water pressure was strong, which is one of those hotel details I care about more than I probably should. A pretty room with weak shower pressure immediately loses points for me.
The sink area had a large mirror with bright lighting, so it was easy to get ready. There is also a window by the sink with a blind, so you can lower it when using the bathroom area.
Overall, the bathroom felt practical and clean rather than luxurious. For this stay, that was enough for me.
Useful Details
I also checked the hotel information sheet. Check-in is listed as 3pm and check-out as 11am, and the gym is available from 6am to 11pm with a break from 1pm to 2pm.
One detail that stood out to me is that a baby guard is available for free. I didn’t need it, but it made the hotel feel more practical for families traveling with a young child.
Like most hotels, small policies and extra charges can change, so I would still check the current hotel notice when you stay.
The Gym Was Better Than Expected
My boyfriend has been very into working out lately, so of course we had to check the gym. I was expecting a normal hotel fitness room with a few cardio machines and maybe one lonely bench. It was much better than that.
Except for the 1pm to 2pm maintenance break, the gym is open until 11pm, which is useful if you come back late after dinner.
Among the hotel gyms I’ve visited, this was one of the most spacious. The equipment was laid out with enough room between machines, and the whole space felt clean and well managed.
There were more strength machines than I expected for a hotel gym, and the equipment looked new and well kept. If you usually get disappointed by tiny hotel fitness rooms, this one feels like a proper upgrade.
The cardio zone faces the city, so you can run or walk while looking out over Busan. There were treadmills and stair machines, which is already more than I usually expect during a hotel stay.
Honestly, for a hotel gym, it felt close to a proper gym. I could see someone who actually works out being pretty happy with it, not just settling for it because they are traveling.
There was also a stretching area with mats. If you are the kind of person who still wants to move your body while traveling, Avani Central Busan makes that very easy.
I went in with low expectations, but the gym was one of the parts that made the hotel feel like a good value.
Who I Would Recommend It For
I would recommend Avani Central Busan if you want a clean, comfortable hotel near Seomyeon with easy subway access, parking, and a gym that is actually useful. It is especially good if you are planning to explore different parts of Busan rather than spending your whole trip at the beach.
The only thing to keep in mind is the area. This is not a seaside hotel, and it is not a romantic resort-style stay. It is more of a polished city hotel: convenient, clean, spacious enough, and easy to come back to at the end of the day.
For what I needed on this trip, that was exactly right.
