Lately my skin has felt rough and dry at the same time. I wanted to deal with the flakes and buildup around my pores without giving up moisture, so I picked up Needly Daily Toner Pad at Olive Young.
I’ve been using the pads before makeup. They’re large and well soaked, and one pad is enough to leave my skin feeling clean without making it feel dry.

What I Paid at Olive Young

I paid ₩19,900 at Olive Young for a promotional set with the 80-pad jar and 20 extra pads. That’s 100 pads, and their size made the set feel like good value to me. It was a sale price, so the deal may be different when you visit.
I also saw an 80-pad jar on Amazon for about $21 at the time. Prices and pack sizes change, so check the count before ordering. I’ve linked the 80-pad listing below.
Why I Reached for This Toner Pad

The reason I bought these was simple: my skin felt rough, but I didn’t want an exfoliating step that left it drier. The pads are meant to wipe away dead skin and excess oil while adding moisture. In the morning, they leave my face feeling comfortable rather than tight.

Needly reports tests on pore volume, count, area and depth, as well as oil, dead skin and hydration. The pore results are temporary, not a promise that a toner pad can shrink them for good. I’m more interested in whether the pad leaves my skin smoother without drying it out. For me, it does.

BHA and PHA are the exfoliating ingredients here. BHA helps with oil and buildup in pores, while PHA works on dead skin at the surface. My skin feels smoother after wiping, but not stripped.
The Jar and How I Use the Pads

The jar contains 80 pads and 365g of product. There is plenty of essence at the bottom; if I tilt the jar, I can see it move around. The pads come out properly soaked, so one is enough to wipe over my face without feeling dry halfway through.

Pressing the button at the front pops the lid open. The little tongs clip into the underside of the lid, which makes it easy to take out one pad without touching the rest. I clip them back in after use and close the jar tightly so the pads stay wet.
8cm Pads: Embossed on One Side, Smooth on the Other

At about 8cm across, one pad covers most of the back of my hand. It’s thick, not flimsy, and the embossed side feels textured but not scratchy. I use that side first when my skin feels rough.

The other side is smooth and softer against my skin. I usually wipe with the embossed side first, then flip the pad over for a second pass. If my skin feels sensitive, I use the smooth side only. It’s nice having that option instead of skipping the pad altogether.
How It Feels Before Makeup

Straight after wiping, there’s plenty of essence left on my skin. My hand stays damp for a moment, but it doesn’t feel sticky. I get the moisture I wanted without having to wait around before the next step of my morning routine.

The essence sinks in quickly. My pores feel a little tighter right afterward, and on days I use the pad before makeup, I seem to get less oily. It’s subtle, but enough that I’ve kept it in my morning routine.
I’d recommend these if you want a large, hydrating pad that also gives you some gentle exfoliation. I like them most as a quick step before makeup, not as a dramatic pore treatment.
