Lately, I’ve been reaching for lip products that look lighter but still have some shine. A strong lip color can be pretty, but I don’t always want that much color on a normal day. On the other hand, a clear gloss with no tint can make my lips look a little too bare.

What Kind of Gloss It Is
Peripera is already one of the Korean brands I trust for lip products, so this felt like a low-risk buy. The Ink Glasting Lip Gloss is not the type of gloss that fully covers your natural lip color. It is more about adding a clear, juicy shine with a soft wash of color.
That makes it easy for natural makeup days. It gives the lips a fresher look without making the whole face feel like it needs a full base, blush, and eye makeup to match.
08 Love of Fate
There were quite a few shades, but I chose 08 Love of Fate because it was the color I was most curious about. In Korean beauty content, this kind of pale, clear pink is often called tokki-hyeo-lip (토끼혀립), literally a rabbit-tongue lip shade. It sounds odd in English, but the idea is a soft, fresh pink.
I can see why this shade gets mentioned that way. It is not a loud, high-saturation pink. It looks more like a sheer pink tint with a fresh, watery shine, which makes it much easier to wear daily.
Moisture, Tube, and Applicator
I thought this would mostly be about the shine, but the formula also includes moisturizing ingredients like jojoba oil, olive oil, mango seed oil, and shea butter. That part matters because gloss can look pretty and still make dry texture stand out if the lips underneath are not in good condition.
On my lips, this did feel more comfortable than a basic shiny gloss. It still looks glossy, but it does not have that dry, coated feeling that makes me want to wipe everything off after ten minutes.
The tube is very Peripera: pink, clear, and cute without being too bulky. Since the container is transparent, I can see the shade right away, which is nice when it is rolling around in a pouch with three other lip products I forgot were already there.
The size is 4.5ml, so it is easy to carry around. I would not call it tiny, but it is definitely a daily pouch size.
The applicator is bigger and thicker than I expected. It has an angled shape, so it fits the lip line nicely, but it also picks up a good amount of product.
Because the gloss comes out generously, I like to control the amount a little before applying. One swipe already gives a lot of shine, so I don’t need to keep layering unless I want the color to show more clearly.
How It Looks on the Lips
With one layer, the color is not strong. It does not cover my natural lip tone completely; it just adds a thin layer of clear pink with a glassy shine on top.
If you like soft pink lip colors that look fresh rather than fully made up, this is probably the prettiest way to wear it. The shade looks light, but not invisible.
With two layers, the pink becomes a little clearer and the shine looks fuller. I actually preferred it this way because the lips looked more polished without becoming sticky or heavy.
It makes my lips look a little fuller in a natural way, but it does not feel like a thick layer sitting on top. For me, two light layers looked better than trying to apply one heavy layer.
Layered Over Matte Lip
My favorite way to use it was over a matte lip color. It keeps the base color underneath, but softens the dry look and adds that glossy volume on top.
This is also where the gloss feels the most practical to me. If a matte lip starts looking a little flat during the day, adding this on top makes it look fresher without having to redo the whole lip.
Overall, I liked it more as an everyday gloss than as a dramatic lip product. It is not for someone who wants a bold tint or a long-wearing stain. But if you want a soft pink gloss with natural color, a comfortable feel, and a glossy finish that layers well, Peripera Ink Glasting Lip Gloss in 08 Love of Fate is very easy to reach for.
