fwee 3D Voluming Gloss Review: Vanilla and Latte from Olive Young

I usually wear matte lip products, but in summer they can start to feel a little dry and heavy. Once Seoul gets humid, I also want my makeup to look lighter overall, so a glossy lip suddenly makes more sense.

So this time, I wanted something softer and glossier, but still enough to look like I had something on. I had been seeing the fwee 3D Voluming Gloss around on Reels, and the Olive Young set looked good enough that I bought it myself to try.

Why I Picked It Up at Olive Young

At Olive Young, the single product was 12,500 won as of July 2026. What made the app deal feel better was that the Latte gloss came as a gift at the same price, so I went with the set instead of buying just one shade.

Vanilla, the Shade I Chose

fwee Vanilla shade selected for the lip review

I chose Vanilla because it was one of the fwee shades I kept seeing people recommend, and it looked like the safest everyday color from the line. It feels soft without pulling too pink or too orange, so I thought it would work whether my makeup was warm, cool, or barely there.

That was exactly what I wanted from a summer lip product. Not a dramatic color, just something that gives the lips a little life without needing the rest of the makeup to match perfectly.

The Latte Gloss Gift

Latte was the surprise for me. I thought it would just be a nice extra, but I ended up using it a lot. It is not a strong color on its own, but it adds a softer beige tone and a glossy finish over other lip products.

Since it came with the Vanilla shade for the same price through the Olive Young app, the set felt more useful than buying Vanilla alone.

Packaging and Applicator

fwee lip product packaging and applicator in a compact tube

The tube is small and easy to carry around, which is always a plus for lip products. The cap closes securely too, so I would not worry too much about throwing it into a pouch.

The applicator does pick up more product than I expected. If I apply it straight from the tube, it can go on a little heavier than I want, so I prefer wiping off the excess inside the opening first and then applying it in a thinner layer.

How Vanilla Looks on the Lips

fwee Vanilla applied once on lips for a sheer glossy finish

This is Vanilla applied lightly once. The color comes through softly, almost like it is just bringing some natural color back to the lips. It looked clean even with a bare face, which is one of the reasons I liked it for casual summer days.

The scent was nicer than I expected too. It reminded me of soft strawberry milk rather than an artificial candy scent, and it did not bother me once it was on my lips.

fwee Vanilla layered twice on lips for a deeper glossy color

With a second layer, the color gets a little clearer but still does not look heavy. I actually preferred it layered this way, because the lips looked a bit more polished while still keeping that glossy, fresh finish.

I usually apply lip balm before putting on any lip color, but this one felt moisturizing enough that I did not feel like I had to prep my lips first. That was probably the biggest reason it felt easy to use day to day.

Layering It with Latte Gloss

The Latte gloss has an ivory-beige look with a soft brown tint to it. On its own, it is subtle, but over another lip product it adds a little depth and makes the finish look smoother and glossier.

I expected to use it only occasionally, but it turned out to be one of those glosses that works over almost anything. It does not completely change the lip color underneath; it just makes the overall look a bit softer.

fwee Latte gloss layered over Vanilla on lips for extra shine

This is Latte layered over two coats of Vanilla. I liked this combination more than Vanilla alone, especially because it added a slightly moodier tone without making the lip look dark.

On my skin tone, the Vanilla and Latte combination felt more balanced than a plain pinky gloss. It still looked fresh, but the beige layer made it feel a little more finished.

Stain and Wear

After testing it, I wiped the color pretty firmly with a wet tissue. A soft stain still stayed behind, which surprised me a little because moisturizing lip products often disappear quickly on me.

It is still a glossy formula, so I would not expect it to stay perfect through a full meal. But for something that feels this comfortable and hydrating, the remaining tint was better than I expected.

Overall, I liked it more than I thought I would. Vanilla is easy to wear, Latte makes it prettier when layered, and the formula feels moisturizing enough that I do not have to treat it like a dry tint.

My only note is the applicator. It picks up enough product that I like wiping it off once before applying, especially if I want a natural look. Other than that, I can see myself keeping this in my pouch for summer and using it on days when matte lips feel like too much.

I’ve heard good things about Olive Young products. How do the glosses compare in terms of wear time?

Since it’s a glossy formula, I wouldn’t expect it to stay perfect through a full meal. When I wiped it with a wet tissue, though, a soft stain still remained. For something this moisturizing, I thought the wear time was pretty good.
