For the last night of my Busan trip, I wanted a hotel near Haeundae with a pool. L7 Haeundae by LOTTE looked like the easiest choice: close enough to the beach, newer, and still reasonably priced for a Saturday stay in early July.
I booked a Superior Queen Town View room and stayed for one night. Overall, the stay felt clean and easy. A few details were more convenient than I expected, and the gym was the one part that felt a little weaker.

Check-In and Parking
Check-in officially starts at 3pm, but I arrived about an hour early. L7 Haeundae is part of LOTTE Hotels, and after signing up for the LOTTE Hotel membership, I was able to check in an hour early. I joined on the spot, so I didn’t have to wait around until 3pm.
One thing to know if you are coming by car: parking is not free. It was 5,000 won per day when I stayed. The nice part is that LOTTE membership gives you points, and I was able to use those points toward the parking fee. That helped.
On the 3rd floor, near the elevators and check-in counter, there was a vending machine for disposable amenities. You can also buy drinks and snacks there, but I ended up using the convenience store on the 1st floor more often.
Having a convenience store in the same building is always useful, especially at a beach hotel. I used it more than the vending machine because it was easy to stop by on the way in or out. Much easier.
L7 Haeundae by LOTTE Hotels opened in 2024, so the whole place still has that newer-hotel feel. I stayed on a Saturday in early July, and my room was in the low 200,000 won range. Busan hotel prices move a lot by date, but for Haeundae in summer, that felt pretty reasonable to me.
It is not directly on Haeundae Beach. It sits about one block behind the beach road, which matters most if you are expecting a full ocean view from the room.
Superior Queen Town View Room
I booked the Superior Queen Town View room. The room had a queen-size bed, and my first impression was that it felt clean, simple, and polished without being too cold.
The room isn’t huge, but the layout made sense for a one-night stay. For two people, it felt comfortable enough, especially because there was a proper place to sit and eat. That was enough.
In front of the bed, there was a TV, a small table, and two sofa chairs. The chairs were softer than I expected, which sounds like a tiny thing until you order delivery at night and actually want somewhere normal to sit.
We ended up using that little seating area more than I thought we would. It made the room feel more practical, not just nicely styled.
My favorite part of the room was the bathroom area. It felt wider than I expected, and there was a door between the bathroom zone and the main room.
That door was more useful than it sounds. I liked that. If someone uses the bathroom late at night, or if you want to keep the humid air from the shower away from the sleeping area, being able to close it off makes the room feel much more comfortable.
The amenities included shampoo, treatment, body wash, and a body towel. The scent was a fresh, slightly sweet lemon type, and I liked it more than the usual generic hotel amenity scent. Nice surprise.
I don’t expect much from hotel amenities most of the time, so when the scent is actually pleasant, I notice.
The shower booth and toilet were separated. I always prefer that. Much cleaner. It keeps the bathroom easier to use after someone showers, and the space felt cleaner because of it.
Another detail I really liked was the storage counter beside the sink. Most hotels just give you a sink and a narrow ledge, so having extra counter space there felt more useful than I expected.
Here, I could keep a lot of my small things in one area. Very practical. Since most of the things I needed were already around the sink, getting ready felt easier and I didn’t have to keep walking back and forth across the room.
Because of that bathroom storage area, the entrance side stayed very simple. There was basically the mini fridge and kettle area, and that made the room feel cleaner.
I liked that the room did not try to squeeze in too much furniture. For a short stay, easy movement matters more than extra decoration.
I chose the Town View room, and it really was a town view. Fair enough. I wasn’t seriously expecting an ocean view, but if you are choosing this room type, I would think of it as a practical room rather than a view-focused one.
That made sense once I thought about the location. Since L7 Haeundae is one block behind Haeundae Beach (해운대해수욕장), it does not have the same full ocean-view setup as the hotels right on the beach.
Pool and Facilities
I kept the hotel guide sheet from check-in because the facility hours were useful. The fitness center was listed as open from 6am to 10pm, and the pool was divided into three sessions.
Some hotels only let you use the pool once, but L7 allows multiple pool visits outside peak season. That mattered to me. The pool was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel in the first place.
Right after check-in, I went straight to Haeundae Beach. The waves were intense that day, and swimming was restricted, so the beach plan ended pretty quickly.
I came back to the hotel instead and went up to the rooftop pool, which ended up being a much better idea in that heat.
Since I went before the normal check-in crowd settled in, the pool was surprisingly quiet for a weekend. Perfect timing. There were barely any people, so it was easy to relax.
The pool was wider than I expected, and the depth was comfortable for actual swimming. I wanted to stay longer, but the sun was too strong. I lasted about an hour before heading inside.
There was also a dry sauna, so I tried it after swimming. It wasn’t painfully hot. Exactly enough. Just warm enough to make my body feel loose and sleepy in the best way.
After the beach plan fell through, the rooftop pool and sauna made the afternoon feel satisfying anyway.
Laundry Room and Gym
This was near the end of my trip, so I had laundry to deal with. The hotel has a laundry room, and it’s open 24 hours. Very useful if you’re staying in Busan for more than a couple of days. I needed it.
The washer and dryer were 5,000 won each, and they were cash only when I used them. The iron was free to use. There was also a detergent vending machine and a bill changer near the laundry room entrance, so larger bills were not a problem.
It’s not an exciting hotel feature, but when your suitcase is full of summer clothes, it suddenly becomes very useful.
The gym is right next to the laundry room, so I put my laundry in and went to check it out while waiting. The setup itself is convenient: you can wash your clothes, move a little, and come back when the cycle is done.
The gym itself was the weakest part of the stay for me. That part was underwhelming. The space was narrow, and the equipment selection was pretty limited.
For a quick treadmill walk or a light workout, it does the job. If you care about having a wider range of machines, it may feel underwhelming.
The treadmill area faced the building next door, so it was not the kind of workout view I had pictured for a Haeundae hotel. It was a small disappointment, but not a dealbreaker.
I went back to the room and took a nap instead, which suited my energy level better by that point.
Who I Would Recommend It For
I’d recommend L7 Haeundae Busan if you want a clean, newer hotel near Haeundae with a rooftop pool, easy convenience-store access, and a room that feels practical for a short trip.
The gym is the only part I would keep expectations modest for. It was usable for a light workout, but the rest of the hotel felt stronger to me.
Other than that, I was happy with the stay. For one night near Haeundae, it felt like a good-value pick.
